street project unless dpw secures other funds. district six, safety projects. we recommended funding for two pet safety projects located in district six. one is mid clock crossing. it was identified in the neighborhood transportation plan. several of the treatments included in the mcallister street project, recommended in the 2007 and site on transportation plan. to know the mcallister project includes sidewalk expansion leverage a project funded by u.c. hastings. our initial recommendations includes one and two way project. our previous staff recommendations not fund that project was primarily because of the $6.5 million cost of the project compared to $6.6 million available for the entire category over the first five years. in addition to that, there's also -- at that point there was a lot of uncertainty around the development negotiation. commissioner kim is interested in finding ways to move all three of these projects forward and reach out to district six stakeholders. that leads into condition where the authority will commit

other work we've done worked with dpw to develop an initial design concept for that connector road to show it's a feasible concept. we've done two rounds of extensive community outreach to share our work as well as interagency coordination with dpw, mta, cal train as well as other local agency partners. diving a little more into the community outreach we've done, we have worked through two prerobust rounds of outreach. first of those were back in spring. we did an open house and other presentation to present the work we had done in the first few months after we got that appropriation and get the community's feedback. we came back to the community in november to present our draft back recommendation how we incorporated a lot of that community feedback before coming here to the board. each of those rounds included an open house with pretty good solid participation as well as notification for that each round including multilingual efforts with efforts to everyone within a half a mile. additional fliers and businesses, neighborhoods, churches, community groups to cover wider radius. then

dpw senior managers waived the nee on a new location but couldn't approve a refund. the claim was dean nied. michelle wu, the hearing officer, dpw, gave me the option to finish out the year at dolores park or choose a new location. many of the prime locations have been occupied over the years, and the new regulation doesn't require you to pay a $10,000 fee. do you think the city has given me back the money? and to this day, i still don't have a comparable location. mistakes happen and that's why i wasn't seeking additional damages. i just wanted the money back that i paid. i realize each of you are extremely busy. i know you have to choose which issues to get involved in. remember which issues you also ignore speak volumes of your character. i can only hope these things from a leader that you feel this is important in maintaining high ethics, that you see the importance of taking action for small businesses and that the city government wouldn't defraud me either by accident or on purpose. i believe in our leadership and morals, i know most of the time it's a matter o
